Restriction Mapping kit

Restriction mapping is the physical way of mapping a DNA which determine the relative regions of restriction enzyme cleavage sites.

Features

  • Use to map an unknown segment of DNA by breaking it into pieces and then identifying the locations of breakpoints.

Description

Product Overview

SLS’ Restriction Mapping Kit, by using this students can perform restriction mapping by completing structural information of phage lambda DNA by using two different restriction enzymes, EcoR I and Hind III. It involves the digestion of phage lambda DNA with a series of restriction enzymes, EcoR I and Hind III and then performing agarose gel electrophoresis method to separate the digested DNA fragments and measure the molecular size of the same.
